The day YouTube started – level 2
On February 14, 2005, the domain youtube.com was registered by three men.
The men wanted to create a website where people could post videos if they wanted to meet their new partner. However, people didn’t want to post their videos on this website.
The founders decided to change their idea and focus more on general videos. It was a good move and more people started to use the website.
In the following years, YouTube became a global website. Today, it is used by many creators. Many famous people use YouTube too.
Difficult words: domain (a name of a website), post (to put on the internet), founder (a person who starts a business), general (usual).
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
What strategies did the founders of YouTube use to grow their website into a global platform?
